More than Quality: Achieve Goals and Improve Outcomes through Strategic and Data Use

Many organizations struggle with basic quality measures or fail to optimize outcomes data when it is collected. Yet quality measures simply scratch the surface of the best practices that ensure clients are screened for basic physical and behavioral health challenges and support client follow-up that identifies pathways to healthy improvement.

Organizations that use optimized metrics as the foundation of strategic initiatives tend to be more fiscally and operationally resilient to the changing landscape. This is particularly evident in services that embrace true whole-person care management, value-based models highlighting cost and outcomes that can be leveraged with payers, and growth initiatives to increase access to care.

No matter where an organization is on their quality and accreditation journey—from those just starting out to those that are more advanced—new insights can be gained from hearing what works and how to maximize data for innovation that matters.

In partnership with the Alliance-COA Performance Excellence APEX, this webinar will be presented by Dr. Melanie Elliott, vice president of analytics at Afia, who will offer lessons learned and success stories about:

·         Implementing effective data systems with meaningful workflows that ensure financial savings, reduce manual effort by staff, and improve access to accurate data

·         Integrating data from electronic health records (EHRs), general ledgers (GLs), human resource information systems (HRIS), health information exchanges (HIE), and other sources that support a comprehensive data warehouse with business intelligence

·         Optimizing insights into basic operations, cost of service; financial metrics; productivity; clinical initiatives and outcomes; population health; quality metrics, such as HEDIS, UDS, and CCBHC measures; and many other strategic initiatives.
